I love rudimental drumming.

I’ve been a drummer for over five decades, and I still love it. I practice every day, sight-reading and working up drum solos and practicing rudiments (also known as the drummer’s scales). I marched in high school band and my local drum & bugle corps, and coached high school drum lines for over thirty years. I’m a member of NARD (National Association of Rudimental Drummers) and USARD (US Association of Rudimental Drummers), and I research the history and development of drum practice pads.
